In collaboration with the hotel’s interior designer, Pretorius Studio painted a lush landscape featuring local birds for the wall behind the reception desk. The designer’s custom metal screen in front of the mural creates the appearance of a menagerie. We extended the avian theme to the hotel bar with an eglomise bar backdrop of birds among blossoming branches. The technique of reverse painting on glass created a soft, reflective focal point within the lounge space.
